Bank Story #311 2/22/18

New Chase bank story
Went in to Chase today to make a dep. Asked to see the PB for another account, because I wanted a separate one for the initial 'dumping'. First thing I asked him was: "With the big foreign currency exchange event happening soon (yes, yes..he said) what measures has the bank taken for security?"
Well, actually, he never got around to telling me. But he was so excited when I told him why I needed another account and what was going to fund it, he said..."don't open anything yet. Let's wait so I can get you a better deal than what is here" (in their brochures)
3x he said "let's stay in touch' and checked out my existing account and wrote down my phone number. Red Carpet treatment. I already was feeling wealthy.
He said "how soon will this happen?" (ha ha) I said I wasn't sure, but I knew it was soon, and he would possibly know before I do....and then he said another 'lets stay in touch'.
I also told him I did not want to stand in line (I'm old!)
and go to a teller and he assured me that I wouldn't have to worry about that. etc etc.
There was more, but I was just so happy to hear No Denial. Though in 8 years, Chase has never denied this thing would happen. They just figured it was off a few years. They were right.

Thanks for the post. Good confirmation information here also. One is, guys on average we CAN NOT pre-open the KIND of accounts we will have once this happens unless we are already millionaires! Millionaires have TOTALLY different kinds of accounts than people with hundreds and thousands in the bank. The only benefit to having an account at a branch of one of the exchange banks is, it establishes you as a "customer". That's the only relevance. Everything in your life will change including how you bank... Thanks.
